California attorney general subpoenas OpenAI over cyber incidents

California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) said Thursday he served OpenAI with a subpoena as part of a probe into cybersecurity incidents involving the ChatGPT maker. Bonta previously opened an investigation into the company after its AI agents hacked into the tech startup Hugging Face.

OpenAI cuts ties with three staff over sensitive information, WSJ reports

OpenAI has parted ways with three employees who it says mishandled sensitive company information. The Wall Street Journal first reported the exits on Thursday. Two of the three were safety researchers, and one was a research programme manager, Rachel Metz reported for Bloomberg.
